Fernando Pires graduated in Architecture and Urbanism by the University of Sarajevo in 1983, and got the equivalence by the Technical University of Lisbon in 1988. He is master in Urban Design by ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon in 1999, and got his PhD in Heritage of Portuguese Influence by the University of Coimbra in 2017. He works in the area of Humanities with emphasis on Architecture and Urbanism. In is curriculum the most frequent keywords in the contextualization of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production are: Colonial Architecture and Urbanism; Africa; Cape Verde; Guinea; 18 th and 19 th centuries.
